Guys,

I have received the following email from Nick the contents of which are self explanatory....

Hi Ricky.
It doesn't give me great pleasure in writing this email but we are calling it a day with the Aprilia Superteens. At Brands hatch last weekend I managed to blow up two bottom ends before we even got to qualafying which caused us to go home and have a serious think about what we want to do, as it is not the first time this season that we have had serious mechanical problem. Mei and Dad had a long chat and we decided to miss out the remaining two Aprilia superteen meetings and we are going to concentrate on getting track time on a 675 triumph. I have allready riden it at Donnington park and I absoultly loved it, we are going to Silverstone next week and hopefully Almeria next month.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to you and the club for supporting me and it has been great to have you all on board for the past 2 seasons.

I am going to sincerly miss racing in the superteen series but its getting too expencive and the 2strokes are so very tempremental, so hopefully if all goes according to plan I will be racing in the T3 challenge or something even bigger.

Once again, thank you for your support.

Best regards

Nick Anderson.

I have already replied to Nick but please feel free to add your replies on the forum Thumbs Up

Bad news but totally understandable. Always amazes me how much cash most racers have to find just to get on the grid - that takes big time dedication.

Good luck to you in the future, Nick. Whatever make of bike you choose to race.Thumbs Up

Are we to continue sponsoring Nick?

It would be nice to assist a young racer (as they are living my dream!) and if we can't find a suitable recipient of our cheque in Aprilia superteens we could carry on with Nick.

Just a thought.

That's a fair point that I'd overlooked.

Hi Guys!

Im sorry I haven't been on here for a while I assumed that It wasn't being used anymore.

Well here's just a breif update for those who are interested. We have decided against going to the triumph t3 challenge as just to get on the grid it will cost £15k and that is money which just simply don't have, so we have decided to do thundersport superstock 600 which is still all televised and may include a round at the British round of the Moto GP. Depending how I get on with the bike will depend if Dad enters me into any BSB rounds towards the end of the season, but we will take things slowly and see how I go. My choice of weaponary is 2 x 2009 R6's, I was very lucky with the fact that Dad's freinds helped out and got a good deal on the bikes and one of which is being supplied by a sponcor which is brilliant. I have also fianaly got a Job in a local gym and restraunt which means I can earn some money to pay for all the entry forms for the 2010 season.

The plan for the winter is too get some much needed practise on the R6's as they are monstors which need to be tamed. The aim is to go to a track in wales called llandow to learn the power of the bike as aparently llandow is quite a quick circuit?! Im then going to take part in a few practise sessions at pembrey to try and prepare myself for the 2010 season and hopefully get the best out of my ability in what is likely to be my last racing year for a while.

Anyway thats a general overview of whats been going on down in my neck of the woods, hope to hear from you all soon.

Hi Nick,

I've done quite a few track days at Llandow, and its like a 1 mile long Snetterton, it is a bit of a power circuit, with a bus stop type chicane. It is quite a nice track, but there were no pit facilities the last time I was there 3 years ago (no shelter, no power). Your R6's will be perfect for there as was my ZX6RR.

Good luck mate.
I just got lost in thought. It was unfamiliar territory.
