I doubt any thing with a 1200 lump will get the name "mille".

It seems that fully fared speorts tourers are not the growth market that the  VFR, Sprint, Futura et all once targetted.

What has become exciting IMO is the  "fun tourers" as depicted by the KTM 990 SMT, the latest Ducati multistrada et al.

These are bikes that have max "hoon" capability mixed with the ability to tour (at least in a European context) very much in the manner I use my Tuoldo now.

What i want is about  110 to 130 BHP at about 185 to 200 Kgs with a fairly light comfortable lean forward  if not straight backed sitting position which befits my 6'2" frame. I want light flickable handling that allows me to enjoy "technical" roads yet does not give me back ache after 300 miles.

If I want to drop down behind a small screen or wind deflector thats Ok but I do not want to see the road thru a tall chunk of plastic. Neither do I want to battle with wire wheels.

So I would hope that the next mode is a 1200 Shiver / Dorso cross. (not a Futura/ Caponord cross).

It would have the same frame, and nominally the same engine (hopefully a 1200 V twin at circa 130BHP) and same wheels /tyres and general geometry. But then the buyer gets to choose

The suspension/ brake  grade (Factory or R)
The Tank capacity large or standard (T or S)
Some tuning goodies (exhausts etc as now....akra etc)
Eye candy stuff (belly pans, huggers, carbon fibre, colour coded panels etc )
Some luggage options.

fair choices

with the exception of the tank size choice, that does sound an awful lot like the standard falco these days.....
