Yet another V4 spy shot has appeared. I personally don't want a V4, no real reason, I just like my V2 T. I like V twins. Besides the engine change all the spy shots I've seen of the 'new' T it looks awfully small.
One of the things the T has got going for it is that it is a reasonable 2 up tourer. Not ace but I've done hundreds and hundreds of miles with Mrs P on the back and also loaded to the gunnels with camping tackle.
Look at all the new T pics. Where's it all gonna go ? WHERE'S SHE GONNA GO ?
IF thats the way the back end's gonna look and it probably will, thats nailed it for me. NO CHANCE.
I reckon if the new T looks like that ,with the same proportions of the Rsv4, Aprilia are making a massive mistake.
I bet 75-85% of T owners tour on the bike, like I do [weekends away with the lads, bsb,wsb etc] and a good persentage of that take a pillion occasionally.
The engine alone will not be different BUT the whole ethos of T ownership.

Banghead

Saying all this, I'll be keeping my current bike for a good while yet, but I just don't like what I'm seeing and hearing.

What do you think lads ??

Personally no pillion is fine with me. All I want to hear when I get out on the T is the engine roaring not someone moaning because they are cold or uncomfortable. As for size that's not important...so I keep being told! At the end of the day we ride Tuono and if that's what it's called we'll ride it

Hmmm that looks rather like the New Kawaka 1000.... and again the problem with that is its too bloody small... tis all well and good having these teeny bikes... right up untill the point you want to go somewhere rather than the local dealers 10miles down the road..... My Cornetto is the dogs. i can tour on it, do track days and hoon round the lanes.
With this crop of new mini bikes the only sensible touring option is going to be to have two bikes... not that I mind too much but not not everyone has pockets deep enough to run two bikes.
The Police never think it's as funny as you do!

http://motorcycle-pictures-collection.blogspot.com/2009/08/aprilia-fv2-1200-motorcycle-wallpapers.html for what i assume is the mille replacement

they whet your appetite enough?

i still think the first bike will be a mille replacement - followed by a new futura

I reckon they need to keep the Mille and Tuono legend going meself. If a 1200 goes in, fair enough. I do reckon they need a big sports tourer though. I don't think they pushed the Fut enough over here.

After seeing that picture i agree, it looks like a rice burner! Would have to see it in the flesh to even start to like that front end! I don't know about you chaps but I feel that Aprilia and especially Tuono has a bit of a cult following! The current Tuono neither looks, sounds or performs like any other naked on the market! That's it's identity, why take it away? I like being different and knowing it's the best in it's class and enjoy being smug about it!
