hey all what yamaha starter solenoid do we use on the mille's then? some one got me a part number on a previous post but i dont think its off an r1 as stated? can anyone verify this or not? also were is a good place or site to get one from?

The part number supplied is correct. Whether it's for an R1 is only hearsay.
Obtained mine at nearest Yamaha agent.

im just making more work for myself and being lazy lol just trying to look them up on the net but thanks for your reply fella i thought id repost it just because it sounds like a common prob and thought others would have had a similar experience of it im not doubting your help mate its all much appreciated

yeah i do matey but its just getting the time away from work to go in lol i may try and pop in there tomorrow or give them a call atleast

I was lucky I just took the one off my FJ - removed the link and it fitted and since Griff had all the problems fixed last year it starts well too.

right then used the part number supplied by peters(part was 37quid) and now i have a nice new shiny solenoid and i was suprised it is as easy as everyone said so thanks for all the info guys top notch as always
still got the annoying thing of it struggling to start grrrrrr more work is necessary maybe a trip to the griifmeister very soon!!

just so you all know lads......sorry mutley!
the price of the Aprilia genuine starter solenoid has been reduced drastically!
i dunno why but aprilia prices can be up and down like a whores drawers!
it was about 45 quid at one point but the retail is now 28 quid......cheaper than yamaha!!
this is the 150 amp one too!
just for your information the genuine aprilia part number is AP8112927
like i said mate sorry!!
